Hello. This is John Rhodes with my monthly open mic poetry special. Today we have on Emmanuel Williams.
I met Emmanuel Williams at a reading he had at Bird and Beckett Books here in San Francisco
Emmanuel Williams is from England, and has lived and worked as a teacher all over the world.
He has a BA in French and Art History, and an MA in Teaching of Writing.
He's a member of, California Poets In the Schools.
His poems and stories have been published in Pennwood Review, Penthouse, Penumbra, Toyan, Sacred Fire, Resurgence, The Countryman, Snowy Egret, and featured on BBC and NPR.
He has recently published, Loving, a book about the spiritual aspects of sex, and is working on, Several Circles, a multi-media presentation featuring original poems about paintings, projections, dance, music and shadow puppets.
Today Emmanuel will read poems about the natural world.
