Rebecca Foust’s books Dark Card and Mom’s Canoe won the 2007 and 2008 Robert Phillips Poetry Chapbook Prizes and her full length book was short listed for Poetry’s Emily Dickinson First Book Award. Nominated for two 2008 Pushcart Prizes, her recent poetry is widely published in small print journals including Atlanta Review, Nimrod, North American Review, Spoon River Poetry Review, Women’s Review of Books and others. Dark Card is about raising a son with Asperger’s Syndrome, the Autism Spectrum Disorder featured in films like “Rain Man” and bestselling books such as Look Me in the Eye (John Elder Robison) and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (Mark Haddon).
