This is Mystic Babylon Open Mike Poetry Podcast located near the Haight in San Francisco. I am recording partly from the Oval Office today. The Commander in Chief wanted me to read some of my pacifist poems here as a State of the Union message. Besides me reading here in the Oval Office, I am going to have a poet who read at a poetry venue called Poetry and Pizza, in San Francisco. His name is David Shaddock. His books of poetry include Dreams Are Another Set of Muscles and In This Place Where Something's Missing Lives. For those from San Francisco, Poetry and Pizza, is at 333 Bush Street, and for a five dollar donation you get pizza, a drink and salad, plus poetry. They generally meet the first Friday of the month. Clive Matson is the MC.
